The Collage & Connect Project

The Project

Collage & Connect is a collaborative art project made for collage artists.

The main and original idea of the project is simple: to help people meet each other online, because real and meaningful connections between artists are often missing today.

The project creates a friendly and open space where collage artists can discover each other, exchange collages, and feel less alone in their creative practice.
It is not about competition or performance. It is about meeting, sharing, and building small creative relationships through images.

Collage & Connect is open to both beginners and experienced artists.
You can work digitally, or with paper, scissors, glue, and old photographs.
You can join whenever you want and take part in a simple, relaxed way.

The project is run mainly through the Instagram page @collage.and.connect.

Every month, new creative challenges are shared on Instagram.
You are encouraged and gently guided to meet other artists and to find new creative soulmates.
You can share whenever you feel ready… and then repeat the experience, again and again.

Suspended Collages are one of the numerous ways to participate in Collage & Connect.

A suspended collage is a collage that someone starts, but does not finish.
The beginning of the collage is shared online so another artist can continue it.

This format exists for people who feel inspired, who want to practice, or who simply want to create without waiting for the perfect creative partner.
It is also a gentle way to meet another artist through a shared image.

You choose a collage start, download it, and continue the collage in your own style.
You can work digitally, or you can complete it by hand and then scan or photograph your result.

It is important to send a small message to the person who started the collage.
This short message helps create a real human connection behind the image.

When your collage is finished, you share it online and invite Collage & Connect and the person who started the collage. The first artist may choose to join or not — there is no obligation, and it’s always fine either way.

In this way, each suspended collage becomes a small bridge between two artists who meet through creation.
